CHEYENNE — Boating season in Wyoming is winding down and so are the Wyoming Game and Fish Department aquatic invasive species check stations. CHEYENNE — Hunters can purchase type 8 elk licenses to help manage elk populations in specific hunt areas in Wyoming. Type 8 licenses are only valid for cow elk and address the challenges of over-abundant elk herds. *These licenses aim to help manage elk populations toward population objectives and provide flexibility to landowners affected by large elk herds.
