CHEYENNE — Boating season in Wyoming is winding down and so are the Wyoming Game and Fish Department aquatic invasive species check stations. Check stations throughout the state will start to close or reduce hours. However, it is required that any watercraft transported into Wyoming from March 1-Nov. 30 undergo a mandatory inspection by an authorized inspector prior to launching.

CHEYENNE — Hunters can purchase type 8 elk licenses to help manage elk populations in specific hunt areas in Wyoming. Type 8 licenses are only valid for cow elk and address the challenges of over-abundant elk herds. These licenses aim to help manage elk populations toward population objectives and provide flexibility to landowners affected by large elk herds.
