JOhn, the last year has been a difficult one. I have increasingly felt the impact of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) on every aspect of my life.
But for every challenge, there’s been a reminder: I am not alone. There is an incredible community of support that I continue to familiarize myself with, and it’s been the world to me. This community is loving, it is brave, and it is strong.
In the final months of my time in Congress, I have worked to use my platform to raise awareness about PSP, urge support for those affected by it and their loved ones, and marshal the resources in search of a cure.
Last October, I took part in the 2nd annual MK’s March in Northern Virginia to raise money for a cure. I want to invite you to join me in this year’s 3rd annual walk, being held on October 13 at 8:30 AM.
I’ll be joined by PSP warrior Jane Batwinis, alongside our family, friends, and supporters throughout the area. We’ll be walking in the proud memory of Mary Kay Ream and Nikki Lanza O'Malley – two incredible women who have left a lasting legacy to build from in the journey toward finding a cure.
The registration deadline is September 22, and the event’s launching ground is:
