JOhn, the last year has been a difficult one. I have increasingly felt the impact of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) on every aspect of my life.
But for every challenge, there’s been a reminder: I am not alone. There is an incredible community of support that I continue to familiarize myself with, and it’s been the world to me. This community is loving, it is brave, and it is strong.
In the final months of my time in Congress, I have worked to use my platform to raise awareness about PSP, urge support for those affected by it and their loved ones, and marshal the resources in search of a cure.
I’ll be joined by PSP warrior Jane Batwinis, alongside our family, friends, and supporters throughout the area. We’ll be walking in the proud memory of Mary Kay Ream and Nikki Lanza O'Malley – two incredible women who have left a lasting legacy to build from in the journey toward finding a cure.
