Join Us for Disabled Women’s Equal Pay Day!

CLASP is excited to invite you to a special event marking Disabled Women’s Equal Pay Day on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 ! This landmark dayrecognizes on the wage inequities faced by disabled women, especially disabled women of color, and how we can join together to make change.
Join us at 2:00 PM ET/11:00 AM PT for a social media storm📱 in partnership with Equal Pay Today, Disability Culture Lab, and many other incredible organizations. Together, we’ll amplify the call for fair pay and equal rights, using hashtags #DisabledWomensEqualPayDay and #DisabledWomensEPD.
Our focus this year will be on three major policy goals✍🏽:
1.
Passage
of
the
Transformation
to
Competitive
Integrated
Employment
Act
(TCIEA)

to
eliminate
segregated
workplaces
and
subminimum
wages.
2.
Passage
of
the
SSI
Savings
Penalty
Elimination
Act

to
end
the
public
benefit
eligibility
requirements
that
keep
disabled
women
in
poverty.
3.
Passage
of
the
HCBS
Access
Act

to
expand
critical
funding,
allowing
disabled
women
to
live
and
work
in
their
communities.
