Before Abraham Lincoln became president – and even before his run for U.S. Senate – he honed his arguments against slavery through handwritten notes. The Freedom Matters ([link removed]) special exhibit now features one of the most powerful of these notes, called syllogisms, wherein Lincoln logically disassembles arguments supporting slavery.
