a surprise raid on an underground Iranian-built missile factory in Syria earlier this week.
The operation involved troops from Israel's elite Sayeret Matkal unit who successfully entered the weapons facility, removed key equipment and documents, rigged the site with explosives, and destroyed it before withdrawing under air cover.
Israeli commandos reportedly used explosives they brought with them in order to blow up the underground facility, including sophisticated machinery, from inside.
The IDF has not commented on the reports.

including UNRWA employees , who were eliminated in the strike.
"Upon receiving reports claiming that local Palestinian UNRWA workers were killed as a result of the strike, the IDF requested that the agency provide details and names of the workers, in order to thoroughly review the claim," the IDF said. "To date, no answers have been provided by UNRWA despite repeated requests."
"This is a further example of the Hamas terrorist organization’s systematic abuse of civilian infrastructure and violations of international law."
