Extremists Involved in Nationwide Protests Against Coronavirus Restrictions
Americans’ response to the coronavirus pandemic now includes a spate of nationwide rallies decrying stay-at-home orders and calling for “reopening” the economy. While many of the protests calling for the reopening of the economy and lifting of state-issued quarantine mandates have been organized by more mainstream conservative organizations, a number have been sponsored in whole or part by identified extremists and a range of rally participants have carried signs or flags affiliated with various right-wing extremist ideologies.

ADL Survey Finds American Jews Feel More Threatened Than At Any Time in Past Decade
Nearly two-thirds of American Jews believe that they are less safe today than they were a decade ago, according to a

new ADL survey on Jewish encounters with antisemitism in the United States.
The survey found that more than half of American Jews (54 percent) have either experienced or witnessed an incident they believe was motivated by antisemitism. And nearly two-thirds of Jews (63 percent) say their communities are “less safe” than they were a decade ago.

On Wednesday, the community joined the Jewish Federations of North America for a virtual celebration of Israel's 72nd birthday. Online Town Hall to Stop COVID-Related Hate - Watch Now
Last week, ADL Washington, D.C. Senior Associate Regional Director, Meredith R. Weisel, joined CUAH to discuss the rise of anti-Asian and anti-Jewish hate incidents due to the pandemic. Since March, Asian Americans have reported over 1,600 acts of physical or verbal abuse across the country.
The panel included Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh, Maryland State Senator Susan Lee, Montgomery County Office of Human Rights Director Jim Stowe, Asian Pacific American Community Leader Judge Chung Pak and CUAH Senior Advisor Aryani Ong.
