Legacy gifts make it possible for Survival to act quickly and decisively when catastrophe threatens.
Dear Jack,
This week is Remember a Charity Week, and we’d like you to think about how a gift in your Will could help threatened Indigenous peoples survive.
Learn more about leaving a legacy
Survival has unique relationships with Indigenous communities, and we’re often the people they turn to in a crisis. They need to know that we can act quickly, without pausing to raise funds, and that we will stand with them for as long as it takes.
It is the legacies we have been gifted, both large and small, that make this possible.
When we heard that mining companies had started destroying the rainforest of uncontacted Hongana Manyawa people in Indonesia, we were able to quickly go there, do the research, and launch a global campaign to stop it. If we hadn't, few people outside Indonesia would have known this was happening. Now, companies have already started to back off - and our campaign will continue until the Hongana Manyawa are safe in their forest.
Legacy gifts make it possible for Survival to act quickly and decisively when catastrophe threatens.

Our fight is a long term one. Miners, agribusiness, oil companies and now carbon traders are constantly vying to profit from the theft of Indigenous lands. A victory against one threat does not mean safety forever - we need to stay vigilant, and your gift can help.
If you want to ensure that our unique movement can do what is needed, when it is needed, and for as long as it takes, please consider remembering Survival in your will. Every gift is a step towards a world where Indigenous peoples are in control of their own lands, and able to choose for themselves how they live.
With many thanks for your help,
Louisa Leslie
