We're one week away from the highly anticipated First Illumination Ceremony [ [link removed] ] at the National World War I Memorial in Washington, DC on September 13, and I'm excited to share a few updates with you.

As we prepare for the illumination of the iconic bronze sculpture "A Soldier's Journey," here are a few reasons why you should join us - either live or online - for this special occasion.


* Once installed, *"A Soldier's Journey" will be the largest freestanding high-relief bronze sculpture in the Western Hemisphere*. This event will mark a historic moment.
* The ceremony will not only unveil the sculpture but will also *feature live performances, distinguished speakers, and a tribute* to those who have shaped this Memorial. 
* For those local to the DC Area, join us on September 14-15 at the National World War I Memorial for* WWI Living History Weekend,* sponsored by the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation. This immersive weekend of events will include displays by WWI Re-enactors, Hello Girls, a National Mobile WWI Museum, WWI Vehicles, etc.. Construction at the WWI Memorial for the Installation of A Soldier's Journey

The sculpture has been craned on site in four sections and the metal work is ongoing.
