The extremists’ strategy to keep Missouri’s near total and complete abortion ban in place even if a majority of voters decide to overturn it in November is starting to come into view.
Polls show that a majority of voters support repealing Missouri’s near total abortion ban that makes no exceptions for incest or rape—so the GOP extremists in power are preparing a legislative end-run in the event that Amendment 3 is approved by voters in November.
No matter what happens with Amendment 3, anti-choice extremists have pledged that they will pass a law which would provide the same legal rights and protections for embryos and fetuses as a person who has been born. It’s their “fetal personhood” law and its ramifications are widespread and terrifying. This move would classify every abortion at any point after conception, for almost any reason, as murder—and would effectively outlaw in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Extremists like my opponent, David Gregory, have said that they will pursue this strategy to undermine the will of the people “ regardless of that vote in November. ”
This is why we have to work hard to stop extremists who are hellbent on preventing women from exercising control over their own bodies no matter the consequences or the circumstances.
Flipping this seat is absolutely essential to bringing common sense to the 15th District and protecting the will of the people.
