Hi friend, this is Craig Sicknick. My brother, US Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, died on January 7, 2021, hours after being attacked by MAGA insurrectionists. He died a hero, defending our democracy from an unprecedented threat.

Ever since Brian’s death, my family and I have been doing everything we can to call attention to the Republican Party’s continued full-throated support for Donald Trump, the power-hungry demagogue who cares only for himself, and who is ultimately responsible for my brother’s death.

That’s why I’m speaking out today about the appalling and disgusting “awards gala” honoring the very insurrectionists that took Brian’s life — which was slated to take place at Donald Trump’s golf course tonight before being postponed after immense backlash:

Thankfully, we have strong, patriotic leaders who are doing everything they can to stand up for the Constitution and speak out against this rabid, anti-American MAGA extremism. Leaders like Mikie Sherrill.

Mikie and I are working hard to ensure that Donald Trump and his extremist allies — including Mikie’s GOP opponent, Joseph Belnome — don’t get anywhere close to power this November.
