That’s why I’m speaking out today about the appalling and disgusting “awards gala” honoring the very insurrectionists that took Brian’s life — which was slated to take place at Donald Trump’s golf course tonight before being postponed after immense backlash:
This is just the latest example that shows that there is no low Donald Trump will not stoop to in his quest for power. Thankfully, we have strong, patriotic leaders who are doing everything they can to stand up for the Constitution and speak out against this rabid, anti-American MAGA extremism. Leaders like Mikie Sherrill. Mikie and I are working hard to ensure that Donald Trump and his extremist allies — including Mikie’s GOP opponent, Joseph Belnome — don’t get anywhere close to power this November. And by standing up a massive grassroots response today, we can show Trump and the Republican leadership supporting him that the more he threatens to destroy our democracy, the harder we’ll fight to honor Brian’s memory and protect it.
