In the Hayes household, service is a lifelong commitment that my husband Milford and I share and demonstrate on a daily basis. As a law enforcement officer for 27 years and a teacher, a National Teacher of the Year, our household shares common values with yours — the values that we are all better when we work together and care for our neighbors.
