Dear Friend,
Joining the Democratic National Convention as a Colorado delegate was a special experience. The event was electric, as repeatedly emphasized by State Treasurer Dave Young and former Congressman Ed Perlmutter. Above all, it was incredibly inspiring.

Having the honor of serving on both Obama campaigns and in the Obama Administration, I was thrilled to hear Barack and Michelle Obama address the DNC in Chicago. And they had something very important to say.
President Obama focused on two critical challenges of our time: the economy is not working for most Americans; and rising polarization is causing us to fight against each other instead of working together to improve our lives.
Michelle Obama delivered the central message of the convention: do something . This challenge, originally from Kamala Harris’ mom, was also embraced by Kamala Harris in her stirring acceptance speech.
For us in Colorado, these messages explain our commitment to the Horizon Project, which is engaging voters in meaningful and honest conversations through “deep canvassing” efforts that motivate them to vote. You can learn more about that work in this article [[link removed]] .
I take Kamala Harris’ and Michelle Obama’s calls to action seriously. I know you do, too. So please sign up to join me for deep canvassing. On Saturday September 14th, I would be so grateful to have you along as we put Harris’ and Obama’s challenges for our country into action.
