Having the honor of serving on both Obama campaigns and in the Obama Administration, I was thrilled to hear Barack and Michelle Obama address the DNC in Chicago. And they had something very important to say.
President Obama focused on two critical challenges of our time: the economy is not working for most Americans; and rising polarization is causing us to fight against each other instead of working together to improve our lives.
Michelle Obama delivered the central message of the convention: do something. This challenge, originally from Kamala Harris’ mom, was also embraced by Kamala Harris in her stirring acceptance speech.
