All week, I met with and heard from Democrats as we rallied around Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Everyone from union leaders to lawmakers to entertainers and abortion storytellers spoke to the energized crowd about where this country has been and where it can go under the Harris-Walz ticket. I know I wasn’t the only one who left Chicago feeling inspired, though. The crowds of voters and delegates could barely contain themselves when everyone from former presidents to everyday Americans spoke of hope, change, and progress. Instead of the hate-filled Republican National Convention, the DNC featured optimism, inclusion, and joy. After hearing our future president and vice president speak, I’m even more fired up than before for November.
