Dear John,

What an amazing week at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago! All week, I met with and heard from Democrats as we rallied around Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Everyone from union leaders to lawmakers to entertainers and abortion storytellers spoke to the energized crowd about where this country has been and where it can go under the Harris-Walz ticket.

I know I wasn’t the only one who left Chicago feeling inspired, though. The crowds of voters and delegates could barely contain themselves when everyone from former presidents to everyday Americans spoke of hope, change, and progress. Instead of the hate-filled Republican National Convention, the DNC featured optimism, inclusion, and joy.

After hearing our future president and vice president speak, I’m even more fired up than before for November. For the next eleven weeks, we need to raise money, knock on doors, and tell our friends to vote on November 5th. But, if we are going to support the Harris-Walz ticket in the White House, we need a Democratic majority in the House and Senate. Can you chip in here so we can flip the House, hold the Senate, and get Kamala Harris to the White House?

This is a pivotal moment. We need to sustain our momentum to ensure victory on Election Day—we can’t afford to slow down. As vice presidential nominee Tim Walz stated, we have to leave it all on the field.
