Just moments after Lucas won the official Democratic nomination in
Missouri’s U.S. Senate race, he challenged Hawley to a series of five
televised debates — with one even on Fox News. Hawley refused.
[ [link removed] ]From the Missouri Independent: The candidates have also been offered
televised debates by Gray Media, owner of five television stations with a
Missouri Market, public television stations, the League of Women Voters,
and Fox News. Kunce said he has accepted all offers but Hawley has not.
Maybe he’s afraid of Lucas’ unifying message, or his own abysmal record
when it comes to actually delivering for Missouri in the Senate. Maybe he
knows that he’s the most vulnerable GOP Senator up for re-election this
November. Or maybe he really believes the Olympics are still going on, and
his sprint out of the Capitol on January 6th was enough to qualify for the
100-meter dash.
