Ohio board delivers blow to pro-voting ballot initiative
* The Republican-controlled Ohio Ballot Board approved ([link removed]) controversial language for an anti-gerrymandering amendment. The initiative’s organizers said they will challenge the language in court for being deceptive and unconstitutional.

Georgia secretary of state slams proposed election rule changes
* Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) slammed ([link removed]) the "misguided efforts" of the State Election Board that would delay election results, such as hand counting ballots, saying the changes would "undermine voter confidence."

The latest on RNC cases undermining democracy
* The Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Trump campaign appealed ([link removed]) their lawsuit challenging the mail-in ballot receipt deadline in Nevada to the 9th Circuit. A lower court rejected their case.
* The DNC, Arizona Democratic Party, DOJ and others filed ([link removed]) briefs urging the U.S. Supreme Court to reject the RNC's emergency request and keep Arizona's strict proof of citizenship law blocked. The Court can now issue its ruling at any time.

9th Circuit delivers victory for California voters
* In a win for voters, the 9th Circuit rejected ([link removed]) a right-wing lawsuit from an “election integrity” group trying to strike down California's mail-in voting system, upholding a lower court ruling that dismissed the case.
