When President Biden told my father he was stepping off the ticket, my dad encouraged him to reinforce the very first decision he made during his presidential candidacy by picking Vice President Harris as his running mate. They both knew she has what it takes to step into the role of president at a moment’s notice.
We have the opportunity to make history by electing the first Black woman president of the United States, win back the House, and hold the Senate.
