My father is incredibly proud to support Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for president.

When President Biden told my father he was stepping off the ticket, my dad encouraged him to reinforce the very first decision he made during his presidential candidacy by picking Vice President Harris as his running mate. They both knew she has what it takes to step into the role of president at a moment’s notice.

We have the opportunity to make history by electing the first Black woman president of the United States, win back the House, and hold the Senate. But Election Day is November 5th -- less than three months away -- and we need everyone getting involved if we’re going to make those historic wins happen.

We can finally make the highest office in the nation look a little more like the rest of our country and we can show little girls everywhere -- no matter what they look like or where they come from -- that they belong everywhere, including the Oval Office.

This is a pivotal moment for our country. Reproductive rights, voting rights, and our democracy all hang in the balance. And Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, pose a serious threat to all of the values we hold dear.
