Introducing the 2024-25 Communications Institute and Culture & Narrative Fellows!
<[link removed]>
Hi John,
We're only one week away from the launch of our second Narrative Innovators Lab, and we are excited to introduce our new class of Fellows!
In its second year, the
Narrative Innovators Lab (NIL)<[link removed]> remains the combined home for our signature programs: The
Communications Institute<[link removed]> and the
Culture & Narrative Fellowship<[link removed]>. The NIL brings together communicators, thought leaders, and creatives to dream and devise narrative and cultural interventions that move us towards opportunity for all. Given the current moment - where advocating for racial justice, inclusive democracy, civic engagement, immigrant rights, health equity, and LGBTQ+ and gender rights is more important than ever - this year's NIL theme focuses on championing a multiracial democracy.

Building on the NIL model that we piloted in 2023, we are welcoming 10 social justice communicators and seven artists from across the country to build community and strategize together in New York City. After five days of dialogue, experimentation, and learning together, these narrative practitioners will begin their six-month Fellowship with TOA, which culminates early next year with their individual projects.

The 2024 NIL is a unique opportunity to build lasting power before, during and after this current moment, and our Fellows are some of the most exceptional practitioners in the field to lead the way.
We are so excited to see how all 17 Fellows collaborate together, across spaces, to develop impactful campaigns, messaging, and cultural interventions in an effort to build toward our shared vision of a truly inclusive and multiracial democracy. You can follow he Fellows' journey on our social media, and we can't wait for you to see what they have in store!
In solidarity,
