Why is Maine so important to the country in 2020? Why are we at the Maine Dems sending you all these emails and working to build the most comprehensive voter outreach program the state has ever seen? Here it is in a nutshell:

*Donald Trump is using his Republican majority as a shield to protect him from everything from bribing foreign governments for dirt of political opponents, to his chaotic and downright dangerous handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

*There are only a handful of states where Democrats can flip Republican seats -- one of them is Maine.

*Trump won a single electoral vote from Maine in 2016 -- that electoral vote may decide the election in 2020.
