President's Message Advocacy has been and will continue to be a primary focus of NASN and mine as President and a school nurse, whether it be for our students, our families, school nursing as a whole, or for each of us as individual school nurses. I'm thrilled to share that NASN President-Elect Lynn Nelson and I recently had the honor of being guests on The How We Teach This Podcast, produced by The Teachers College at Emporia State University, titled Nurses Support Teaching & Learning. This platform allowed us to engage in a meaningful conversation about the critical role of school nurses in creating a safe and healthy learning environment. By leveraging our collective and individual voices, we can effectively advocate for quality systems-level school health services for all students. This collaborative effort can help us secure strategic partnerships to pursue upstream changes that enhance student health, safety, and education.
