As the Communications Manager for the California Democratic Party, it’s my job to ensure we’re holding President Trump accountable and getting our message out there.
And it’s clear: California Democrats like Gavin Newsom are leading the nation with our response to COVID-19.
Meanwhile, chaotic press conferences, distracting tweets, and flat-out lies can’t change the fact that Trump has ignored experts, downplayed warnings, and delayed the response to COVID-19.
But if you’re in a rush -- let me cut to the chase: Californians have done critical work to fight the coronavirus, but there’s a lot more we can and must do.
That’s why we’re asking you to chip in to four fantastic non-profit organizations ([link removed]) that are on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are so many deserving organizations out there doing important work -- these are just a few of them.
If you’re able, chip in here -- 100% of your contribution will go towards the Los Angeles Food Bank, United Farm Workers Foundation, One Fair Wage, and San Francisco Undocufund. ([link removed])
Democrats, it’s hard to overstate the disparity between Governor Newsom and Trump’s response to this virus.
While Governor Newsom worked in concert with governors, ensuring that heavily impacted states have critically-needed resources, the Trump administration has failed to respond to this crisis across the board.
