Hi team,
Andrew here, Campaigns and Organizing Manager for California Environmental Voters. I’m working hard with the rest of our great team to prepare for next week when our lawmakers reconvene in Sacramento!
We’re days away from the California Legislature gaveling back into session, and that means it’s time to gear up for a big advocacy push. Right now, we’ve got a handful of top priority bills that protect California’s environmental future and that require your help to reach the Governor’s desk.
We’re hosting two virtual trainings next week, on August 6 and August 8, to review our priority legislation and how YOU can play a role in getting these bills over the finish line. Sign up now to join us for a training! [[link removed]]

Some of the key bills we’re tracking include the top oil accountability legislation of the year, featuring bills that would require companies to start plugging significant portions of their oil wells, protect the health and wellbeing of refinery fence-line communities, and bolster our state’s commitment to protecting the public from oil and gas pollution.
In our training calls next week, we’ll go over everything you need to know about our priority legislation and how to effectively contact your representatives to urge them to vote YES on these bills.
The coalition supporting these bills is bigger and more diverse than ever -- and we want that to include you, too!
We’re so close to the finish line. Sign up to join a training call next week and help us turn these bills into laws. [[link removed]]
Thanks for standing with us,
Andrew Escamilla
