John Opdycke will be talking with Chloe Akers–Founder and CEO of The Best of Tennessee <[link removed]>, a nonprofit focused on engaging and educating Tennesseans who are disillusioned and disenfranchised by the current political system.
Akers just wrote a new piece in The Tennessean <[link removed]> encouraging Tennessee voters to not be intimidated by party leaders and Tennessee’s new law that declares that only “bona fide” party members can participate in primaries. REMINDER: Tennessee has nonpartisan voter registration and open primaries–this law is nothing more than voter intimidation aimed at scaring voters out of participating in the only meaningful elections in the state.
We’ll be sending out invites for that call soon–keep an eye out! It’s going to be a good one.
