This afternoon, Joe Biden announced he will step aside as the Democratic nominee for President of the United States and no longer seek re-election.

I want to take a moment to thank President Biden for always putting America first.

I was proud to work with him to cap prescription drug costs for seniors, bring billions of dollars to New York for much-needed infrastructure, and invest in clean, renewable energy to combat climate change. Together, we made incredible progress for New Yorkers—and Americans across the country.

I also want to thank President Biden for saving our democracy once before in the last presidential election. The president deserves this much-needed rest. His legacy is secure, and now it's our turn to take up the torch.

Our goal this November is still the same: defeating Donald Trump and his MAGA cronies, like Mike Lawler. Now is the time for us all to come together and do everything we can to hold the White House and flip the House blue—are you with me?
