To comply with these regulations, American Rounds—the Texas-based company
installing the vending machines—says it uses AI technology and "card
scanning and facial recognition software to meticulously verify the
identity and age of each buyer."
But cybersecurity experts warn that this technology could be exploited by
hackers or those who wish to bypass the machine's security measures.
