There are so many things I love about the Eighth District, but one of my favorite things is the outdoors. As a kid, I’d spend long summer days at Perch Lake in Baxter. I want that for the future generations in our district, too.

So allow me to be pretty blunt: The future of our planet lies in the balance this election. Flippable districts are the key to climate action in Congress—and that starts right here in MN-08. Our current Congressman Pete Stauber’s abysmal 7% lifetime rating from the League of Conservation Voters says it all—he isn’t committed to fighting for a future for all of us.

I recognize that this isn’t just a fight for the super-liberal or people who live in cities. In fact, climate change will harm our district in more ways than we know: From our farmers to floods to our favorite winter activities, we will feel the strain.
