When Trump chose Vance, venture capitalists and right-wing tech
billionaires like Peter Thiel and Elon Musk upped their support for Trump
— Musk pledging $45 million per month to a Trump super PAC. As The Nation
notes, Silicon Valley is fully MAGA-pilled.

When J.D. Vance told his life story at the RNC last night, he stopped
right before he got to the part where he became a venture capitalist,
making huge profits while ruining the lives of American workers. He didn’t
tell the crowd that CEO was the top profession amongst donors to his 2022
Senate campaign.
Vance tried to strike a tone of populism, even though a top priority of
the Trump-Vance campaign is to cut taxes for corporations and the wealthy
by hundreds of billions of dollars. Vance’s act is all fake — and
dangerous.
After choosing his venture capitalist running mate, Trump said he wanted
billionaire CEO of JP Morgan Chase, Jamie Dimon, to be his Treasury
Secretary. As Bernie said of the Trump-Musk alliance, “This is oligarchy.”
Bernie couldn’t be more right.
The only way we stop these powerful right-wing billionaires from taking
control of the country is by defeating Trump, Vance, Thiel, Musk (and the
sixty other billionaires publicly supporting Trump) this November. We’re

Trump has made major promises to Big Oil and crypto industries. His choice
of Vance is a promise to Vance’s boosters — most prominently, right-wing
billionaire Peter Thiel — that a second Trump presidency will be the best
ever for billionaires and big business. What else could you call this
besides oligarchy?
When Vance ran for Senate, Thiel’s anti-worker, far-right, authoritarian
donor money went to Vance. Thiel donated more to Vance than anyone had
ever donated to a Senate race before. Now, it’s paying off for Thiel.
The AFL-CIO gave Vance a lifetime score of ZERO for his record of casting
no votes for working people. A Trump-Vance administration would be a big
zero for workers and 💯 for CEOs and billionaires.
We know we can’t rely on the DNC to defeat Trump-Vance. We know it’s up to
us. That’s why we’re implementing a strategic organizing plan to turnout
progressives in states we absolutely must win in order to defeat Trump.
