Vance told his life story at the RNC last night, he stopped right before he got to the part where he became a venture capitalist, making huge profits while ruining the lives of American workers. He didn’t tell the crowd that CEO was the top profession amongst donors to his 2022 Senate campaign.
Vance tried to strike a tone of populism, even though a top priority of the Trump-Vance campaign is to cut taxes for corporations and the wealthy by hundreds of billions of dollars. Vance’s act is all fake — and dangerous.
After choosing his venture capitalist running mate, Trump said he wanted billionaire CEO of JP Morgan Chase, Jamie Dimon, to be his Treasury Secretary. As Bernie said of the Trump-Musk alliance, “This is oligarchy.” Bernie couldn’t be more right.

His choice of Vance is a promise to Vance’s boosters — most prominently, right-wing billionaire Peter Thiel — that a second Trump presidency will be the best ever for billionaires and big business.
