Dear Friend, real quick — our state legislature still hasn't passed the Louisiana Emergency Voting Plan. But you can help. ([link removed])
As New Orleans legislator Aimee Adatto Freeman highlighted in The Advocate on Sunday, more than 1,000 Louisianians have fallen victim to COVID-19, and almost 24,000 total have tested positive for the virus. Our healthcare providers and first responders are working tirelessly to flatten this curve. We have to continue to do our part by staying home and social distancing, but — the upcoming July 11 election is too important to sit out. We must make small, safe changes to allow every voter in New Orleans the right to have their voices heard.
We need your help — will you contact your senators and representatives today and tell them that you want them to protect your health, keep our poll workers safe, and ensure that your vote is counted by passing the Emergency Voting Plan? Click here and reach out to them now. ([link removed])
Thank you,
Action New Orleans

Dear Friend,
The Louisiana Emergency Voting Plan would expand access to vote by mail and early voting for the July 11 election — but it hasn't passed our state legislature yet. Do you have a few minutes to help? ([link removed])
In the midst of this global health pandemic that has hit Louisiana particularly so hard, this would protect our health and democracy. But, Republican lawmakers have continuously blocked this essential legislation.
This is unacceptable — these upcoming elections are too important to sit out, but no one should have to risk their life to vote.
Today, we're asking you to share your own personal story of why it's important for you to vote by mail during this public health crisis. Click here to send our state representatives your story today! ([link removed])

July 11 will be here before we know it — please urge our state representatives to support the bipartisan Emergency Voting Plan. Click here to send them a message now. ([link removed])
Thank You,
Action New Orleans
P.S. — We also need your support to continue informing all New Orleanians of ways they can stay safe and help others during this crisis. Can you contribute now and help us keep our city strong? ([link removed])
