During the Caucus meeting, members aligned on their strategy for fully restoring the SALT deduction ahead of the 2025 expiration of the Tax Cut & Jobs Act (TCJA)...'The SALT cap is detrimental for my constituents who pay some of the highest state and local taxes in the country. As co-chair of the SALT Caucus, ensuring that SALT relief is included in any 2025 tax package is my top priority and one we will continue to work on in a bipartisan manner. The cap amounts to unfair double taxation on hardworking middle-class Americans and cannot be allowed to stand. I look forward to working together with my fellow Caucus members and House leadership to come to a resolution,' said Representative Andrew Garbarino (NY-02). " Click here to read the full article.
