As a reminder, Congressional action on the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2025 is well underway. ASBN is excited to support a provision in the House bill (Section 804) ([link removed]) that would require the Department of Defense (DoD) to use Safer Choice ([link removed]) (or similarly certified) cleaning products. ASBN’s letter urges Senate leadership to include the provision in the Senate National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Given the DoD's significant purchasing power this provision will create a strong market incentive for the production and sale of safer cleaning products – Good for sustainable business, and good for service members, staff and workers! This EWG article ([link removed]) provides more background.

Ready to help steer the DoD’s purchasing power towards Safer Choice products?
