I had to reach out one last time ahead of my campaign’s FEC deadline at
midnight tonight.

After it’s over, my team will compile all of our contributions from the
past three months, down to the dollar, and file it in a public report with
the Federal Election Commission.

As a former Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, I can tell you that
there is no piece of campaign intel more valued than the totals reflected
on your opponents’ FEC reports.

It’s how we determine how much our opponent will have to spend, where we
will have to allocate our own scarce resources, and where our
opportunities and vulnerabilities are most apparent.

You can bet that Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell’s megadonors and
advisors will be keeping a close eye as well.
