James, one thing
is as clear after the presidential debate as it was since Donald Trump
first took office: Trump would be a disaster for our democracy.
When Trump was asked what he’d say to people who believed he violated his
constitutional oath of office on January 6, 2021, he completely avoided
the question TWICE. Then he said, “I did nothing wrong.” Trump also
refused to commit to accepting the results of the 2024 election.

The challenge of this election is that progressives and other Democratic
voters from 2020 will stay home, and Trump will win. A lot of voters are
angry about the choices in this election, and so are we. But we see the
alarming threats posed by Trump, and know we must stop him from taking the
White House again.

Our Revolution will organize and mobilize progressives in swing states
across the country to vote for exciting local, state, and federal
progressive candidates because we must build our progressive power while
preventing the greatest threat to our democracy from winning the White
House.
Trump is, loud and clear, a serious threat to American democracy.
Trump has avoided answering questions on how he’d address climate change,
spreading more disinformation about the environment, the Paris Climate
Agreement, and clean, “immaculate water” under his presidency.
Trump championed his tax cuts for the wealthy and big corporations, even
though his cuts deepened wealth inequality and threatened social safety
net programs like Medicare and Social Security.
Trump will not govern for our democracy, our planet, or the working class,
he will only govern for himself. It’s a clear and present threat to the
foundations of our society and the working class people of America.
Our Revolution is ready to take on Trump with a progressive coalition
across the country. Where the Democratic Party and its biggest donors have
failed, we must step up and ensure Trump is not President come January 20,
2025. We’ve been organizing together since Bernie ran for president in
2016, and won’t give up now.
