Hello all,
Just a quick reminder from our discussion at the Monthly Meeting this week
that there's a call today (Sat., 4/18) at 3p for the DSA's Restaurant
Organizing Project. Info is below.
I'll be there, and it'd be great to see some friendly faces from Berkshires
DSA!
In solidarity,
Sid

Subject: DSA Restaurant Organizing Project - Organizer Call TODAY!
To:
Good morning everybody,
*Today at 12pm Pacific / 2pm Central / 3pm Eastern* we have the official
launch call for DSA's Restaurant Organizing Project, the nationally
coordinated effort to support chapters organizing laid off restaurant &
hospitality workers. *Click here to register*
<[link removed]>
On this call we'll cover some history of unemployed worker organizing and
why the restaurant industry has remained disorganized. We will be profiling
chapters that have taken on this work successfully, and do a step-by-step
walk through of our *chapter primer*
<[link removed]>,
a document that explains how to start doing this work in your area.
Moving forward, our national coordinating team will be setting up calls
with chapters to help troubleshoot any issues and give more advice specific
to their local conditions, chapter capacity and other considerations. More
info about that will come soon!
in solidarity,
