As a supporter, advocate, and changemaker for ILCM, you've helped make new beginnings for immigrants and refugees possible. And that makes us want to celebrate!

This year, we are thrilled to recognize two extraordinary pro bono volunteers who have gone above and beyond to serve immigrant and refugee clients.

Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney of the Year, Braynell Danue Estrada Britton

Braynell Estrada Britton grew up in Managua, Nicaragua. He is a licensed attorney in Nicaragua and in Minnesota. Currently, Braynell is an Associate General Counsel for Best Buy, where he provides legal advice in different matters that impact Best Buy's internal business. He is involved with the Minnesota Hispanic Bar Association (MHBA) as its President-Elect, and the Latino Economic Development Center as part of its governance committee. Braynell was part of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs Policy Fellow 2019-2020 Cohort. Braynell has worked with ILCM as a pro bono volunteer for the past three years, representing noncitizens seeking protection under the DACA program and naturalization. Along with other members of the Minnesota Hispanic Bar Association, Braynell has also partnered with ILCM to provide comprehensive immigration screenings at recent outreach events.

Outstanding Pro Bono Paralegal of the Year, Audrey Callerstrom

Born in Minneapolis, Audrey Callerstrom has a continued interest in community service and the arts. A journalism graduate of University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, Audrey continued to write while pursuing a paralegal career. In 2012, she started as a paralegal at Cargill, Incorporated, where she was introduced to pro bono opportunities. She has volunteered with Advocate for Human Rights, the Tubman Center, the Minnesota Assistance Counsel for Veterans, and ILCM. To-date, Audrey has supported and served as the primary contact for three citizenship clients and eight DACA renewal clients.
