Last month, when I officially accepted the Democratic nomination for Congress in Connecticut’s Second Congressional District, I thought about all the work we’ve been able to accomplish together with real tangible results. With the support of our grassroots base, we’ve gotten a lot done for eastern Connecticut and the nation: capping the cost of insulin and other prescription drugs for Medicare, increasing funding for rural and veteran health care, and reviving our submarine industrial base right here in eastern Connecticut. In 2023, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the Southeastern Connecticut labor market was the fastest growing in the state, and number two in New England.
