As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s historic Olmstead v. L.C. decision, we recognize employment as a critical component of community inclusion. The Disability Employment TA Center (DETAC) partnered with Jonathan Taylor, Executive Director of the Arkansas Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities on a podcast and accompanying brief focused on strategies for employer engagement and outreach to advance competitive, integrated employment and economic outcomes for people with disabilities. National Community of Practice (CoP) Webinar
On Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 3:00-4:00PM ET, join the Administration on Disabilities (AoD) Disability Employment Technical Assistance Center (DETAC) for our July 2024 National CoP webinar, Job Accommodations Make a Difference: Data Points and Implications [ [link removed] ].
During the month of July, we celebrate the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It is often said that good data provides indisputable evidence. A panel of researchers from the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC) on Employment for People with Physical Disabilities will share insightful data on how providing job accommodations for people with disabilities does make a difference to perform their job duties and enjoy equal employment opportunities. Presenters will highlight their current research projects and latest observations that will support grantees, federal and state policymakers, job seekers with disabilities, and employers to improve employment outcomes for people with disabilities.
