Hi there,
Do you remember where you were two years ago when Roe v. Wade was overturned? Our team remembers exactly where we were and exactly how it felt.
American women lost their freedom that day – and we know that the only way to get it back is to ensure women are the ones making laws about our bodies from now on.
Monday is the two-year anniversary of this heartbreaking memory, and we wanted to reach out in advance to let you know that we are as determined as ever to get WOMEN into the rooms where decisions about our bodies are being made.
In honor of the upcoming anniversary of the loss of our most important rights, will you donate at least $20.24 to help us get more women into the rooms where decisions about our bodies are being made? We want to ensure that no man can tell a woman – no matter where she lives – what she is allowed to do with her body and her health.

According to The Guttmacher Institute, despite the rise in abortion bans, the number of abortions actually increased in 2023, the first full year following the fall of Roe. “This increase demonstrates that women continue to seek and obtain abortion care despite the drastic reduction in abortion access in many states.” We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: banning abortion does not stop abortions. It only stops safe abortions.
According to NBC News, a study* estimated that, since abortion bans were put into place, “nearly 520,000 rapes were associated with 64,565 pregnancies across 14 states, most of which had no exceptions that allowed for terminations of pregnancies that occurred as a result of rape.”
Texas saw the highest numbers, which, according to the Houston Chronicle, had over 26,000 “rape-related pregnancies during the 16 months after the state outlawed all abortions, with no exceptions for survivors of rape or incest.”
Women everywhere, but especially in red states, aren’t just being left behind – they’re being targeted. We’ve conducted a deep analysis of the political landscape in many of the states with abortion bans and found that if more resources were dedicated to helping pro-choice women get elected in red states, it would be possible to get these laws changed, but we need your help.
We are just as angry as we were two years ago, and we have no doubt that you are, too. We are working to chip away at the male majorities in the states where abortion bans have been written. We desperately need to hear more women’s voices in the rooms where decisions about our bodies are being made. Join us in the fight by rushing $20.24 or more today →
