As you know, Juan has always been involved in every area of our kiddos’ lives — from classroom volunteer to field trip chaperone, to flag football coach. When we embarked on this journey, he promised the kids that would not change. There are a lot of things to be proud of when it comes to my husband, but I am most grateful for how intentional he has been during this new season of life. For example, he has taken each one of our six kids to DC for a week, one by one. The kids call it their “one-on-one trip”. I’ll often overhear them talking to each other about something that happened during their one-on-one week.

It's not a stretch to say that being a dad to our six kids is the driving force behind Juan’s results-oriented approach to legislating. It’s all about time. He is sacrificing time with our family to serve the people of district six and our country. In my husband’s mind, this sacrifice must render maximum impact because what he is giving up is so precious to him. Through their one-on-one trips, each of our kids has witnessed first-hand the service their dad gives to his constituents, and they genuinely admire him for it. I am a big believer in the adage, “more is caught than taught.” For this reason, I am certain our kids have “caught” the importance of servant leadership through their dad’s example.
A hard reality is that as a member of Congress, Juan must run every two years. We live in a tough, competitive district and the Democrats WANT this seat to regain the majority in the House. It's one of just 18 swing districts in the country. Already, over $2.0 million has been spent on negative and dishonest attack ads about my husband. Through it all, Juan remains optimistic and busy doing his best for the people of district six.
That’s why I am reaching out to ask for your help. Would you be willing to help support Juan’s end of quarter push for the new 2024 cycle, which ends June 30th?
