If you asked me to describe the state of our races to elect Democratic Secretaries of State, I would say this:

They’re underfunded and oftentimes overlooked.

Despite Secretaries’ critical role in overseeing our nations’ elections -- including the ones Trump is gearing up to call "rigged" -- their elections often go unnoticed. The spotlight is often taken up by congressional races, and other statewide elections.

As important as those races are, I want you to think: would you rather have a MAGA election denier running the elections process in the states, or a Democratic Secretary of State who will uphold the rule of law?

It’s clear who we need – but we cannot wait until it’s too late to realize just how important these positions are.

We’re working overtime to boost our candidates for Secretaries of State, and I’m counting on every Democrat reading this to chip in today so we can put more focus and resources into these races – because the integrity of our democracy is at stake.
