If you asked me to describe the state of our races to elect Democratic Secretaries of State, I would say this:
They’re underfunded and oftentimes overlooked.
Despite Secretaries’ critical role in overseeing our nations’ elections -- including the ones Trump is gearing up to call "rigged" -- their elections often go unnoticed. The spotlight is often taken up by congressional races, and other statewide elections.
As important as those races are, I want you to think: would you rather have a MAGA election denier running the elections process in the states, or a Democratic Secretary of State who will uphold the rule of law?
It’s clear who we need – but we cannot wait until it’s too late to realize just how important these positions are.
