It's time for the 2024 Indiana GOP State Convention! This weekend we come
together and welcome delegates from across the state to nominate our Republican
candidates for Indiana'sLieutenant Governor and Attorney General. Our team has
worked hard to make sure those attending the Convention will have a successful,
impactful, and enjoyable event.

Keep in mind that we are sharing the Indiana Convention Center with the USA
Olympic Team Trials - Swimming and it will be important to plan your weekend in
advance. Reminder, credentials will be required for entry to the Convention.
We will emerge from this convention with the statewide Republican ticket
solidified it is critical that we then come together as a party to ensure
victories up and down the ticket in November!

The 2024 Indiana Republican State Convention
The Indiana GOP will host the 2024 Indiana Republican State Convention in
downtown Indianapolis this weekend, Friday, June 14th and Saturday, June 15th.
There are over 1,800 delegates from every county in Indiana coming together to
make decisions that will have a lasting impact on our party. We at the Indiana
GOP are working to ensure that this convention will be one of the most
successful, secure, and timely State Conventions. We hope this will set the

What is the Indiana Republican State Convention?
* Indiana code and Republican Party rules, specifically party rule 7-23,
makes it clear that there are two purposes of the Republican State Convention:
* 1) to nominate candidates for statewide office and
* 2) to update the party platform every 4 years.
* While the main purpose and function of the 2024 convention is to nominate
our Republican candidates for Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor, the
party platform was last updated just 2 years ago and is not due for updates

* The Office of the Indiana Attorney General represents the state in cases
involving the state's interest, provides legal defense to state officials or
agencies in court, and gives formal legal advisory opinions on constitutional
or legal questions to state officials.
* The Office of the Attorney General is organized into eight divisions. These
include: Advisory Division, Appeals Division, Complex Litigation, Consumer
Protection Division, Litigation, Medicaid Fraud Control Division, Solicitor
General, and Unclaimed Property Unit.

* Constitutionally, the lieutenant governor serves as the president of the
Indiana Senate. In addition, the lieutenant governor is charged with assuming
the role of governor if the sitting governor becomes unable to fulfill the
duties of office or if the office falls vacant due to death.
* Statutorily, the lieutenant governor oversees four state agencies including
the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA), Indiana Housing and
Community Development Authority (IHCDA), Office of Community and Rural Affairs
(OCRA), and Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC).
