What is the Indiana Republican State Convention?

  • Indiana code and Republican Party rules, specifically party rule 7-23, makes it clear that there are two purposes of the Republican State Convention:
    • 1) to nominate candidates for statewide office and
    • 2) to update the party platform every 4 years.
  • While the main purpose and function of the 2024 convention is to nominate our Republican candidates for Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor, the party platform was last updated just 2 years ago and is not due for updates until 2026. Party rules can be found HERE.
