Breaking news: The U.S. Supreme Court just
issued its critical decision in the case regarding the abortion pill,
mifepristone.

The Court decided to allow mifepristone to remain widely available across
the country — for now.

It’s the first case on reproductive freedom since SCOTUS overturned Roe v.
Wade and the federal right to abortion in 2022’s devastating Dobbs
decision.

This latest ruling is a relief for the moment, but our work to defend
reproductive rights and health care for millions of people is far from
over.

I want to assure you that as your Attorney General, I will continue to do
EVERYTHING in my power to protect every person’s right to access legal,
safe abortion in the state of California.

We know the far-right will keep up their aggressive fight to roll back
reproductive rights and health care, as we’re seeing in states like
Louisiana, where Republicans are trying to limit birth control.

It is imperative that we keep up our own fight for what is right: bodily
autonomy and the freedom for everyone to make their own decisions about
their own health and well-being.
