Happy Pride Month, folks!

June is an opportunity to celebrate the progress that has been made in the fight for LGBTQ+ equality — but it’s also a time when we can reflect on what we have left to achieve to secure rights and protections for the LGBTQ+ community.

We’re only halfway through the year and the GOP has already written 11 anti-LGBTQ bills in Arizona and over 500 across the nation.

These ongoing restrictions and acts of hate against the LGBTQ+ community — especially toward students, parents, and those battling with illness — are cruel.

Everyone deserves to feel safe and be safe , regardless of who they love or how they identify. No one should ever have to apologize for celebrating the strength and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community.

This Pride Month, it's our collective responsibility to stand with the LGBTQ+ community and continue our efforts until we reach true equality.
